About the event

Shopclues.com presents to you the most awaited case competition of Eximius 2017. The Unicorn start-up is looking for some shrewd business acumen, good analytical skills and panache for critical problem solving. There is a lot at stake, as the winner will get an opportunity to get a Pre-Placement Interview with the shining beacon of Indian start-up space along with cash prizes and certificates.

Rules

  • Each team can have minimum 2 and maximum 3 members
  • This event is open for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and working professionals
  • A student/professional cannot be part of more than one team
  • Multiple teams from the same college/organization are allowed
  • The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following Terms & Conditions before registering
  • All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with organizing committee of Eximius, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Shopclues.com
  • The format and structure of events is subject to change before the actual beginning of the event

Timeline

  • 19th July 2017 (11:59:59 PM): Round 1 deadline – Last date for submission of case presentation.
  • 23rd July, 2017: Results of Round 1 to be released, Round 2 details to be released

    Now that you have read the case and gone through the data provided here are a few guidelines to you should keep in mind while working on it:

    • Think as an entrepreneur
    • Keep in mind the Shopclues DNA
    • Data is the key but insights is the master key
    • Make sure your solution aligns with our overall business strategy

    The case competition will have 2 rounds as mentioned below:

    • Submit your solution in a 5 slide presentation to ‘eximius@iimb.ernet.in’
    • The naming format of the file should be ‘SHOPCLUES_Teamname'
    • The solution should cover the following:
      • Rationale for choosing the category
      • Sourcing Solution - Make in India/China
      • Brand name, Brand Logo and Brand Positioning
      • Go to market market strategy keeping the yearly festivities in mind
      • 2 year business plan
    • Shopclues.com plans to launch the brand in august and expect to derive most sales on Diwali from it
